I have been on the lookout for a collar recently but a lot of the online stores are charging fairly high prices for theirs which had put me off buying one sooner. Last week I was reading through one of my favourite blogs and stumbled across a post about hand-made collars. The lovely, Jade, over at Dotty Dolly has been creating her own collection of gorgeous collars, lots from vintage fabric, meaning that they have an element of rarity about them. I saw her advertising some beautiful floral ones on twitter and decided to ask if she was selling the pearl-detailed collar that I had seen in her DIY post and to my pleasant surprise, she was! I was absolutely shocked when she said that the collar would only cost £7 including delivery (most online stores are selling theirs for anything between £18 and £35!).
I mentioned in my latest wishlist about how much I had been wanting a pearl decorated collar and I could not wait for this one to arrive. It only took two days to get here and I was over the moon with what I found in my parcel -- the wrapping was to pretty to rip open (Vivienne Westwood paper!). The collar looked just as elegant as I remembered it looking in the post I first saw it in. I cannot wait to dress up my work clothes with this little garment and I can definitely say I will be purchasing another collar in the near future.
