Benefit Limited Edition - It's About Prime!*

For Christmas, I received the 'It's About Prime!' gift set from Alex - I had been desperately wanting to repurchase 'The POREfessional' ever since my mini magazine sample ran out.  I completely forgot about the 'Triple Performing Facial Emulsion' that came as part of the set until I found it in my drawer this morning so I decided to give it a quick go after fully cleansing my face & neck.

I personally suffer from very dry/acne-prone skin and I'm always trying to find a moisturiser that is quick to apply when I'm hurrying to get ready in the mornings - I think this facial emulsion might be just the thing.  I applied small amounts of the liquid to my main areas of concern - my nose and chin.  It was very easy to rub into my skin and took no time at all to dry!  One of my pet peeves is when I apply a moisturiser and it just sits on my skin, so I'm already onto a winner with this quick-drying facial emulsion.

As far as fragrance goes, for those of you that prefer unscented facial products, I don't particularly think that the facial emulsion has a 'fragrance' to it.  It has a rather unexplainable smell.. just like your average moisturiser really (terrible description, I'm sorry!) - so I guess it is unscented.

I didn't think that the product left my skin feeling particularly moisturised initially.  It was only when I came to apply my concealer & foundation a short while after, that I realised the impact it had on my skin.  My make-up glided on without any signs of patchy or dry skin!  Even with POREfessional, I sometimes still see dry patches which aren't fully smoothed out, but teamed with the facial emulsion my skin looked and felt really good!

I don't think there are any huge flaws with this product - I felt that it did everything that it claims to do.  The only downfall if I were to be picky would be the price tag.  It retails at around £19.50 for a full-size 50.3ml bottle.  If the product is used sparingly (I only used the tiniest amount & still had great results), then the price tag wouldn't be any concern to me.  However, it is only my first day using the facial emulsion (8.9ml bottle) so I can't vouch for just how long this will last yet!

  4. I have a mini version of this product that I got in the B.right set when it first came out, I used them all for a bit but never really got into them. Think I'll have to dig them out again! It is pretty pricey though so hope I dont like it too much haha x

    1. I agree - it is pretty expensive! I'd been struggling to find a facial moisturiser that my skin agreed with though, so I think I'd still be willing to fork out for the full-size. I hope you get along with the set better this time around! :) xx
