Mary-Lou Manizer by theBalm

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighter
A swatch of The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter

It's Saturday, the sun is out and I couldn't really think of a more appropriate time to share a post with you all about my new favourite highlighter.

It's a rare occasion lately for me to post a photo of my face on my blog; as a beauty blogger, it's kind of something that you'd think would come quite naturally.  I suffer from acne-prone skin and scarring, so any product that gives me a confidence boost and leaves my skin glowing is always going to be a winner.
I'd seen the Mary-Lou Manizer on ASOS and I'd been umm'ing and ahh'ing over whether or not to get it for a few months.  I finally took the plunge recently, and I am so happy that I did.  I used to swear by the Topshop 'Crescent Moon' highlighter until it was discontinued and I'd never found anything quite like it until now.  Albeit, the Mary-Lou Manizer (*now going to be abbreviated to MLM as it's a bit of a mouthful) is slightly yellow-toned and I think a pinkier product may pair to my skin even better, it really only takes a small sweep of the product to see the effects.  I have been applying it recently with my Real Techniques Setting Brush to my brow bones, apples of my cheeks & cupid's bow.  The payoff is amazing and the packaging of the product itself is super cute and girly.

I can really see the MLM being a strong staple in my summer makeup collection and I don't think I'll stray from it for a long time coming.

What's your favourite highlighter?  Do you have any recommendations?  If you have any highlighters that you swear by, I'd love to know in the comments.
