Right, first things first, this post features a whoooole lotta' Soap & Glory.

Over the past year, I have become more and more of a magnet for S&G products on the makeup front; I have used lots of their skincare/shower products, but I'm a much bigger fan of their makeup range.  I swoon a little for their retro style packaging and I keep finding myself picking up new bits to add to my collection thanks to Boots offering 3 for 2 across their range (*not complaining...).  Now, let's chat about these items that have become firm staples in my makeup routine...
I used to be a serious repurchaser of the MAC brow pencil/crayon in 'Spiked' and I would never use anything else.  Earlier this year I discovered the Archery brow pencil and it's now the only thing I will reach for when filling in my brows; for starters, the S&G one is a little more purse-friendly and secondly, it seems to last forever.  I find that it's difficult to make a mistake when filling in my brows with the Archery brow pencil, and the 'Hot Chocolate' shade is a perfect match to my natural brow colour.  It also comes with a handy brush on the opposite end for shaping your brows before or after.

Literally, there are no words to explain how happy I am to have first purchased the Supercat liner.  I used to be a complete eyeliner noob and I've never been one of those girls that can perfect their look in just one stroke.  The Supercat liner is jet black and it glides on so easily; I've found with a lot of previous eyeliners, that the pen nibs pick up bumps/creases on my eyelid, but the Supercat liner skims over any imperfections, leaving a slick line and a defined cat flick with great staying power throughout the day.

'Sexy Mother Pucker' Lip Plumping Gloss
I can't tell if I like 'risqué' product names or if they make me feel a little awkward saying them aloud but nevertheless, the 'SMP' lip plumping gloss gets into my good books each time I use it.  When I first used it, I wasn't sure if I was imagining it or whether it really DID plump up my lips.  The more I've tested out SMP, I've noticed that it does leave my lips looking noticeably more plump and I can feel the gloss tingling as it gets to work.  It leaves such a nice shine on the lips, in a subtle way.  I wear SMP as a daytime lip product as it remains very neutral but still does the job.

Now, this is a makeup staple that I'm pretty sure every beauty blogger has got their hands on.  Solar Powder is especially great for us pale-skinned ladies as it adds colour without appearing too orange.  I find this so useful for subtle contouring, using the darkest shade of the two to define my cheekbones and the lighter shade to go back in with a slight highlight/blend the colour into my cheeks.  Solar Powder is great for a natural glow and it also smells great too (if you're a fan of cocoa/coconut, that is).

Uhhhh.  Let's just take a moment and admire how gorgeous this is.  I picked up the 'LAFB' a few days ago taking full advantage of the Boots 3 for 2 offer and I'm so happy that I did.  The product itself acts as both a blush and a highlighter, which is great for travelling if you're trying to minimise the amount that you are taking away with you. I recently blogged about the Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter and mentioned that I found it slightly yellow-toned, which was my only real critique.  LAFB is a much better-suited match to my skin with the highlighter's inevitable pink tone when mixed with the blusher.  I tested out this product today in my work makeup routine and I found it difficult not to go overboard when applying it to my cheeks; it's just such a gorgeous product and a little really does go a long way.

Have you tried any of the Soap & Glory makeup range?  What have been your favourite finds?  What would you recommend for me to try next?

  4. Surprisingly enough I don't own anything from Soap & Glory's makeup range even though I love their body care. The Love At First Sight Blush looks gorgeous, such a pretty mix of shades and I've always eyed up the Archery Brow pencil x

  6. I love the Archery Brow Pencil. I want to try the shade Hot Chocolate now as I find Blondeshell too light for my liking.
