La Roche-Posay Effaclar (H)

Products from my La Roche-Posay skincare routine
So, not long ago, I first got my hands on the La Roche-Posay Serozinc spray and it seems to have been the start of a somewhat growing collection.  I was ever so slightly underwhelmed by the Serozinc spray, however, I might have had my expectations set a little high in thinking that it would miraculously cure my acne.

When my trusty Caudalie moisturiser from the Vinoperfect box ran out recently, I decided to give the La Roche-Posay Effaclar H moisturiser a whirl instead and also picked up the Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel whilst I was at it. I will start by saying that the pair of them have definitely reached my expectations and regained my confidence in the La Roche-Posay range.  I have introduced both products to my morning and evening routine, starting out with the foaming gel when washing my face.  I was also recently given the Clinique Clarifying Lotion for my birthday, which I used to swear by but had been substituting it with highstreet alternatives ever since being on a spending ban when moving into my own place.  I follow up the Purifying Foaming Gel with the Clarifying Lotion to leave my skin feeling fresh in the morning, and then in the evening to remove all traces of makeup.  The final step in my routine is to gently blend the Effaclar H moisturiser into my skin on my face and neck area, leaving my skin feeling hydrated and smooth.  I suffer from dry/acne-prone skin and I find that a small amount of the moisturiser really does go a long way; it benefits my skin also when applying my foundation/concealer before work in the mornings and ensures that no dry patches are left for the makeup to settle into.

My skin is also very sensitive and the La Roche-Posay products cater to this.  They are also un-perfumed, which is another perk when ensuring they do not aggravate any sensitive areas.  The Clinique Clarifying Lotion can sometimes be quite harsh on my skin and I also find that the La Roche-Posay products help prepare my skin for this and rejuvenate it again after use.  I've been testing out the pair of Effaclar products for a month now and I have noticed that the acne around my T-zone (particular at the tip of the nose) has almost completely cleared up.

If you have any recommendations for other products I should try from the La Roche-Posay range, I would love to hear them. I find their range to be very purse-friendly too, which is always a plus!
