Topshop Highlighter In 'Sunbeam'

Hello everyone, I hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday afternoon so far.  As much as I have spent the last month wishing away Summer (GIMME ALL THE A/W SCARVES, GLOVES, COATS, CANDLES ETC.), the sunshine today is sure putting a smile on my face.  I'm actually jetting off to Rome for 4 nights on Tuesday but I couldn't leave without writing up a post about this little beauty first..

As I've mentioned before on my blog, I used to absolutely adore Topshop's highlighter in 'Crescent Moon'.  It was my 'go-to' highlighter and it was a product that I always had to repurchase whenever mine ran out.  Sadly, Topshop discontinued this some time ago and I've always been trying to find a worthy replacement ever since.  I've recently been loving The Balm Cosmetics' 'Mary-Lou Manizer' and I've been reaching for it every day.  Only recently did I decide to check back onto Topshop's beauty section on their website to find that they had relaunched their highlighter back onto their website, queue a flurry of 'heart-eye' emojis.
The website does not list Crescent Moon as a shade anymore, but they do instead have 'Sunbeam' which is a much more golden-toned highlighter, than Crescent Moon's previously pinky-toned hues.  I couldn't resist putting Sunbeam on my birthday list and my boyfriend very kindly treated me to it.

The packaging itself is the same as that of the old formulation with it's cute, sketchy, starry illustrations and matte Black boxing which I used to love.  The product payoff is exactly as I remembered too.  Only a gentle sweep of a makeup brush is needed to give off a lovely, natural-looking glow above your cheek bones and along your brow bones.  I usually tend to avoid any pinky-toned products, however, I do think that Crescent Moon used to be a slightly better match for my skin tone.  Nevertheless, I'm seriously happy to have the Topshop highlighter back in my life and it will be a firm makeup staple once my Mary-Lou Manizer runs out.

If you're like me, and you're a bit of a magpie for new highlighters, I'd seriously recommend trying out Topshop's one.  It's pretty damn purse-friendly at £10.00 a go and who knows how long Topshop will keep this in stock for this time around?

Have you tried any of Topshop's powder highlighters? What are your thoughts?

    1. I've heard that Topshop's makeup is made by the same company as MAC and it's a fraction of the price, it's so worth it! <3 x

  2. It's so pretty! I love a golden toned highlight. I've only tried lipstick, shadows and blushes from topshop so i'd love to give some of their face products a go!
