I recently shared with you all on the blog how I like to care for my ombré hair and which products I have been reaching for when it comes to washing it. I decided, what better way than to follow this up with which products I have been using to style my hair also. It is no understatement when I tell you that I am very low maintenance when it comes to my haircare and I'm a major creature of habit when it comes to my hairstyles too; most days I either wear my hair straightened with a centre parting, or wavy with a centre parting again. I have had a centre-parting since I was about 5 years old and I'm pretty sure it's destined to stick by me forever. Whenever I choose to put my ombré back in, I find that it really injects life back into my hairstyles and it seems to look best on days when I style it to look naturally tousled/wavy.

Okay, let's get this out of the way. Periods. No girls like periods. Whatever the tampon adverts try to tell us, nothing about them is glamorous, we will probably not fancy going on a bike ride or climbing a mountain like they say, and it probably the worst week of each of our months. That being said, it gives us an excuse to eat comfort food (Dominos on speed dial) and pamper ourselves a little more than usual, then blame it on that time of the month. I have, however, found one other reason to enjoy that one week a little more; Pink Parcel is a monthly subscription box which is tailored to suit your needs. A box consisting of food to comfort-eat, products to treat yourself to and of course, the sanitary bits and pieces that we all need, delivered to your doorstep just in time on a monthly basis. I was recently contacted by the lovely team and they kindly gave me the opportunity to test out their April subscription box*.

When it comes to eyeliner, I really don't tend to fork out too much money; I'm quite easy to please with eyeliners and I will usually always settle for a highstreet option. I find that as long as it is relatively easy to apply and jet black in colour, I'm happy. Up until a few weeks ago, I had been loving using the Bourjois 16h Pinceau eyeliner until I found that I was allergic to it and my eyelids swelled up like golfballs. Needless to say, a new eyeliner was much needed. In comes theBalm Cosmetics 'Schwing' eyeliner...

As you may by now be aware if you follow me on Twitter or Snapchat (@lizeebarry), I have reverted back to my old ombré hair. Whenever Spring/Summer approaches, I always have the urge to lighten my hair, like it used to be in my old outfit posts. The easiest way for me to do this without visiting a salon, was to add back in my ombré using the L'Oréal Préférence Wild Ombrés dip dye kits. As I use two different kits (one for darker hair to begin with, then the next shade up to go even lighter) my hair can feel very damaged from having so much bleach applied in a short space of time.

Here on Vanity Frills, I'm no stranger when it comes to discussing my skin complaints. If you're a regular reader of my blog, you will know that I have highly sensitive skin. Whilst browsing the internet recently, I came across a campaign that I really liked the sound of which is called Experience My Rosacea. The idea behind the campaign is to raise awareness of the difficulties that rosacea-sufferers encounter on a day-to-day basis. There are also a lot of common misconceptions that surround the condition and the campaign aims to challenge those.
I have combination skin and I have been suffering with both rosacea and acne for around 4 years now. Some weeks can be far worse than others, where every little thing can trigger my redness to flare up and for my skin to break out. I have learnt by now that 'knowing' your skin is so important and I am forever checking which factors agree or disagree with me. For example, at times of stress or when my anxiety worsens, I will break out around my t-zone and my rosacea will become far more noticeable at the tip of my nose and around my cheeks.

I have become such a hawk for makeup palettes. I'm forever wishlisting new makeup palettes, regardless of whether they are for blusher, bronzer or eyeshadow. As I touched upon in my last blog post, I've been browsing Beauty Bay a fair bit lately and when I was looking at their makeup palettes, I found the Morphe Brushes collection.

Whenever I'm browsing for eye makeup recently, I find myself forever gravitating towards golden/brown/copper tones and I think my NARS Isolde duo palette is to blame for setting off this love affair. During a late-night online shopping session last week, I stumbled upon Zoeva's collection on Beauty Bay and found their 'Graphic Eyes' range of eyeliners. Naturally, I looked for the golden shades first and found 'After The Disco', and there it went, into my shopping basket.
