There isn't a lot more that I love in the makeup world than both gorgeous eyeshadow shades, and that matte black packaging.  Of course, I am talking about NARS' eyeshadows.

I feel like I am forever droning on, both online and in real life, about how much I absolutely adore copper/brown eyeshadow looks.  I'm not sure if it has something to do with having brown eyes but I find these tones far more complimentary on me than a smokey eye for example.  A few of my favourite colours that I reach for when creating this type of look come from NARS.  I really do love NARS.  As mentioned above, I love their packaging for starters.  I also think their price point is great for the quality of the products and their shade range is just gorgeous.

My love for NARS eyeshadows started out when I picked up their Ride Up To The Moon palette, which contained metallic & matte nudes, coppers, browns and even worked it's way up to a combination for a smokey eye consisting of a rich green and much darker brown shade.  As you can see from the photos above, I have hit pan on almost every shade as I simply couldn't get enough of this palette.  One of the first shades I hit pan on was a very pale 'nude' shade called 'Biarritz' which I then bought individually to follow. Biarritz is the perfect base shade to work back into with virtually any other colour.  That being said, I do tend to stick to using it for a base under my warm, copper-toned makeup.

After I had given the Ride Up To The Moon palette a real run for it's money, I also hit pan on my favourite shade, 'Isolde'.  This particular shade has stuck around in my everyday makeup routine for the best part of around two years now.  It is the most incredibly rich coloured metallic copper eyeshadow shade, even just one gentle sweep across the eyelid does the colour justice.  When I hit pan on Isolde, I was thrilled to find that NARS sold this shade in a duo, which is described with it's pairing eyeshadow as a 'frosted ginger and shimmering copper' combination.  I am forever recommending the Isolde Duo as it is one of the most flattering palettes I have ever owned.  I use the Isolde 'frosted ginger' shade for the main colour on my eyelids and work back into the crease with the darker shade of the two.  Both shades also work excellently for under eye definition by applying a fine line with a small angled brush. The pigmentation is spot on and I never get any falloff or product crumbling away beneath my eyes.

I think that the next NARS product I will have to invest in is their Alhambra duo.. I just can't get enough of their duos now.

What is your favourite NARS product?  Have you tried any of the eyeshadows featured in this post?

    1. It's so perfect for any time of the year too! I love using it to add a glow to my makeup in the summer months, but then also transitioning it into my Autumn makeup. I'm actually yet to try any of their blushers so I think this will be next on my to-do list.... xx

    1. I would really recommend them! There are so many gorgeous duos that they do and although they're a little pricier than a lot of eyeshadows, I think they're worth it for their quality :) x
